The strictest company check, often asked for by banks and regulated businesses.

Wildcard

One certificate for a domain and all its subdomains, such as *.yourdomain.com.

FAQ

SSL certificate questions

What does an SSL certificate do?

It lets your site load over HTTPS, so data between the visitor and your server is encrypted, and browsers show the padlock instead of a "Not secure" warning.

Is a free SSL certificate enough?

For most websites, yes. Our hosting plans use Let's Encrypt, which encrypts traffic just like a paid certificate. Paid certificates add a company check (OV or EV) or cover many subdomains.

Which plans include free SSL?

Every hosting plan: WordPress Hosting (from €1.23/month), Premium Shared Hosting, Turbo-Boosted Hosting and Reseller Hosting, with Let's Encrypt certificates. Managed WordPress includes free SSL too, and App Platform includes HTTPS on custom domains.

How do I get a paid certificate?

Send us the details in the checklist above, and our team replies with the options and a price.

Does HTTPS help SEO?

Google has said it uses HTTPS as a ranking signal, and browsers warn visitors about pages without it.

What is a wildcard certificate?

A certificate for a domain and all of its first-level subdomains, such as shop.yourdomain.com and blog.yourdomain.com.
