API Key Management is the process of creating, securing, and controlling access keys that let your applications communicate with Cloudoora’s services. Whether you’re automating deployments, integrating third-party tools, or building custom dashboards, managing API keys properly ensures smooth workflows and keeps your infrastructure safe.
We designed our API key system with beginners and developers in mind—balancing simplicity with enterprise-grade security.
Generate, label, and manage keys in one click.
Keys are encrypted at rest and throttled to prevent misuse.
SDKs, code samples, and webhooks ready to plug in.
API access and controls come standard—no hidden add-ons.
An API key is a unique code—like a username and password rolled into one—that identifies and authorizes your application when it calls Cloudoora’s APIs. It tells our system “this request is coming from you,” so you can automate tasks securely.
In your Cloudoora control panel, go to **API & Integrations**, click **Create New Key**, give it a label, and set permissions. The key appears instantly—copy it to your secure vault and start integrating right away.
Treat API keys like passwords:
Yes. In **API & Integrations**, select any key to **Revoke** or **Regenerate**. Revoking immediately stops that key from working. Regeneration issues you a new key, so update your applications accordingly.
API keys let you:
API access is included in all Cloudoora hosting plans—from Shared to VPS and Cloud. Some advanced endpoints (e.g., server provisioning or load-balancer controls) require a VPS or higher plan.
Absolutely. When creating a key, you choose scopes like **Read-Only**, **Read/Write**, or **DNS-Only**, ensuring each key has exactly the access it needs—no more, no less.
Yes. We enforce generous rate limits (for example, 1,000 calls per minute) to protect our platform. If you exceed the limit, you’ll receive a clear error response—just retry after a short pause.
In the **API & Integrations** dashboard, click on a key to view usage logs. You’ll see timestamps, endpoints accessed, and response statuses—perfect for auditing or troubleshooting.
Key rotation is easy:
You’ll get alerts for key metrics, such as bandwidth approaching your plan’s cap, disk space filling up, and spikes in CPU or RAM usage. We also remind you of upcoming domain/SSL expirations and renewal dates.
Notifications arrive via email and appear in your Cloudoora dashboard. If you’ve enabled mobile notifications, you’ll get a quick ping on your phone too, so you can act fast, wherever you are.
First, log in to your dashboard to see the detailed breakdown. Then you can clean up unused files, optimize images or plugins, or upgrade your plan with one click—whatever makes sense for your site.
Yes. In your Usage Settings, you can adjust thresholds (for example, 75% or 90% of your limit) or disable specific alerts. We recommend keeping critical notifications on, so you never miss important warnings.
We give you plenty of lead time. Only if you ignore multiple high-usage alerts and hit the hard limit will your service slow or pause. Even then, you can restore full performance instantly by upgrading or contacting support.
After each alert, we’ll remind you again if usage continues rising. If you hit 100%, we pause non-critical services to protect your site’s core functions. You’ll get clear instructions on how to resolve it—cleanup tips or a quick upgrade link
